I’ve partnered with my friends at Arhaus to introduce their new Pearson collection. All opinions are my own and my experience with the company and its products.
I’m excited to share our master bedroom reveal! It’s been well over 15 years since it’s been fully updated. Over the years, I’ve enjoyed shopping our home, re-purposing existing furniture and switching bedrooms around. We even bought the infamous (and affordable) wrought iron bed, which has now been moved to the guest room… No surprise there. Visit my Instagram account @ourvintagenest for before photos of our bedroom.
When the opportunity came to feature the new Pearson collection from Arhaus, I was both humbled and excited to accept the offer! While I loved our existing furniture (which was rarely shared on IG), it was a dark walnut (see above for a peek of that color) with a French country flair and my taste had changed to something more modern. Before the offer to introduce this collection, I had begun re-purposing the dressers by stripping the dark stains to create a lighter wood tone. Imagine my delight when I laid eyes on this gorgeous, high quality furniture, available in four different colors. We, of course, went with the lighter tone to help brighten up our room. This is Basa Natural… A gorgeous natural wood tone with a hint of gray.
The Pearson collection from Arhaus is handmade and constructed of sustainable grown mindi wood. Made of solid wood, you will find this furniture to be heavy with an attention to quality. Delivery of this furniture was treated with white glove service. Even the furniture movers said, ‘this is the heaviest and nicest furniture they had ever assembled!’ As you can see from the picture above, this is the Pearson storage bed, which has been a game changer for us! We love the extra storage for linens, blankets and throw pillows. The Pearson night stand is uniquely made to accommodate the storage bed. The design is both functional and attractive. As you can see, Arhaus pieces are designed to optimize storage. Here’s an example of how they fit together beautifully…
The beautiful moldings around the drawer fronts and side panels are hand-carved. I love the inset design and how it carries throughout our home’s custom cabinetry. The flaired legs give it a subtle and feminine touch.
When deciding which dressers to choose from the Pearson collection, we went with ones similar to our existing furniture. The two over four dresser, measuring at 40.5″ W x 22.75″ D x 56.25″ H is the perfect size for this wall and provides plenty of drawer space. The two drawers at the top are individual.
When standing by my side of the bed, here’s how it looks from across the room. I love the height next to the sliding barn door.
We also chose the Pearson eleven drawer dresser, measuring at 67.75″ W x 22.75″ D x 53″ H – I wanted something that stood taller than waist height and added variation of heights to the room. This gorgeous piece does just that! It’s such a grand and solid piece. The smaller drawers up top are individual and perfect for storing socks, leggings and intimate wear. The deeper drawers at the bottom hold bulkier things, such as jeans, sweaters and extra blankets.
This view gives you an idea of the size and layout of our room.
I couldn’t be happier with the updates we’ve made to our master bedroom. Thank you, Arhaus for asking me to introduce your Pearson collection. You probably noticed this amazing rug too… This is the hand woven Nadia rug and it’s also from Arhaus. I’m excited to share more about the story of this rug in my next blog post, coming soon. Please enjoy these next few photos, showing different angles of our bedroom.

Your bedroom looks so serene and cozy! Do you know the name and brand of the paint color? I love it!
Alicia says
Thank you, Sofia! Yes, I have all our paint colors listed on my blog under the September 2016 archives. Hope that helps!

Where did you get your Woven blinds?

I just ordered this bedroom set! Really excited. Can you tell me where you got the greenery that is in the white vase on the 11 drawer dresser?
Alicia says
Hi Christine! So glad you ordered this set and hope you love it as much as we do! The faux foliage in the white vase is from Hobby Lobby. It’s just a bunch of faux lavender stems. Make sure you wait and get it when florals are 50% off! Hope that helps!

Where’s you’re bedding from?
Alicia says
Hi Katie… Our bedding is from several places, so it’s hard to say. The comforter was found at HomeGoods and the shams were a clearance find. Sorry, I know that doesn’t help much!
Julie says
Hi, I have the same bed. Purchased in August. Do the drawers open on their own randomly? I was wondering if I am the only one with this issue. Thank you- JV
Alicia says
Hi Julie… No, our storage drawers do not open up randomly. That’s odd that yours do. I would see if maybe you can adjust the tracks on the drawers. They may need to be tightened. Hope that helps!
Georgette says
Lovely room! We are considering buying this same bed but my husband is concerned the storage component will limit our mattress and box spring choices? Do you have the 4″ platform on the bottom or a different box spring? Is it just as comfortable as if you were using the full box spring?
Alicia says
Hi Georgette… We used a low profile boxspring on top of the platform. A standard boxspring made the mattress too high and didn’t looks right with the headboard. Without a boxspring, our mattress sat too low and we didn’t feel that was enough support. Hope that helps and sorry for my delayed response.
