Hey friends! Spring is officially here and creating an outdoor living space with At Home was the perfect start to the season! For this refresh, I wanted to start with a clean slate. In order to do this, I had to sell my previous set. Thankfully, within 24 hours, we were left with an empty back patio and ready to start new! This made the process more enjoyable and allowed me to create a functional and relaxing outdoor space. In late February, I visited my local At Home to scope out their patio selection and immediately knew this was going to be easy! At Home is a home decor superstore, but don’t let that word overwhelm you! Their store is so organized, making it easy to find what you’re looking for. This time of year, they have their patio collections displayed at the front of the store. Beautifully styled vignettes help make it easy to find the one that’s right for you!
The set I chose from At Home is called Park City and is by far my favorite of all their collections! I love the quality of this line and it was very easy to assemble. The natural acacia wood, woven rope detail and low profile style is what drew me in! While we were thankful for the previous set we had last year, we quickly realized it was not to scale and bigger pieces were needed to fill our over-sized covered patio. I was excited to have this opportunity to partner with At Home and find this gorgeous set. It measures deeper and wider, allowing us to use a larger rug; making the space feel bigger.
After many years as an interior (and now exterior) design blogger, I’ve learned to start early when shopping for outdoor furniture! Mid-March to early April is the time to grab those pieces you’ve had your eye on before they’re gone! I encourage you to visit your local At Home store to create your own outdoor living space!
One of the things I wanted for our back patio was a bar cart for entertaining! I was inspired by blogger, Myquillyn at The Nester who partnered with At Home last year. I love how she styled her bar cart and hoped to find the same one for our space. I love the acacia wood construction and counter top hammered details. Speaking of details… Look closely at these next few photos to see the cute little hooks and towel bar on each side! It’s also on wheels for easy moving and conveniently locks in place.
Most of the bar cart accessories are from At Home… I also shopped my house for entertaining pieces, such as bowls, stands and storing eating utensils. I seriously love this piece… It’s the perfect addition to our outdoor space and I can’t wait to use it for preparing all our favorite grilled foods this summer!
The round wicker side table between the two chairs was another fun find! I was able to use a round flat cutting board to create a more stable surface for holding drinks and potted plants. It’s the perfect height for these cozy low profile chairs.
The ceramic pots you see throughout are also from At Home. I loved visiting my local nursery and finding all the right greens to fill up these beauties! Adding real greenery (I use faux indoors due to our pets) is something I don’t get to do everyday. I really enjoyed getting my hands in the dirt and making this space come alive!
I found that adorable hanging basket on display in one of their many vignettes. I’ve never had a covered patio space this large and knew I had to have a few ferns hanging overhead to complete the look!
I could not be more thrilled with how this space turned out! Since the day we moved in over two years ago, I’ve envisioned a space like this with cozy seating, pillows, hanging and potted plants, entertaining pieces and a big cozy rug to tie it all together! I still have a few things I’d like to add, such as outdoor curtains, cafe lights and a mini TV in the corner, but those things will come soon enough. We’ve already spent so much more time out here, thanks to At Home for making this space a new part of our evenings! As Summer approaches, I can’t wait to invite friends over and really start enjoying this space! I loved creating an outdoor living space with At Home and I hope it helps you when designing your own! Thank you to At Home for this opportunity to partner and feature your outdoor furniture!
Blessings,

Where did you get the rug?
Alicia says
The rug is an indoor/outdoor rug from Orian rugs – This one is the Salvador from the Boucle Collection.

Hi Alicia! What a great outdoor space! I came across the Park City collection tonight and really like it! I was glad to find your blog with this set because I’m feeling unsure about shopping from home for outdoor furniture. Looks like the seats are deeper which seems like it would be comfy to lounge on. Is that the case for you? How has this collection held up since last year? Thanks!
Alicia says
Hi Claudia! We absolutely love the set and are so glad we went with it! It’s held up great from it’s first winter and it washes up well with a low pressure power washing. I highly recommend it and love the deep seating and low profile style! Hope that helps!

Where did you get the round side table?
Alicia says
Hi Joanne… The round wicker looking side table is also from At Home, but it’s been two summers ago that I purchased it. It’s possible they carry it year round. I apologize for my delay in responding to your message!
