My name is Alicia Armstrong; thank you for being here!
Ever since I can remember, I’ve been exposed to interior decorating. Watching my mom decorate and antique shop is a vivid childhood memory. Since starting this blog in 2016, my design taste has evolved to a more refined style. I’ve never leaned toward trendy, but more of a classic and timeless feel. I enjoy shopping my home and changing things up to update/improve a space. I love working on relatively simple projects; it’s satisfying to transform furniture or a room on a small budget.
We purchased a new home four years ago and while there’s nothing that needs to be renovated, I’m constantly finding something to enhance. I’ve painted rooms, added shiplap in multiple rooms, designed built-ins for a homework station and updated builder grade tile since moving here in 2016.
I’ve been married to my husband, Chris for 20 years. He works as an IT engineer for a small business. We have two children and reside in NW Arkansas. We are a Christian family who desires to live a life with Christ at the center. We have two animals, a Golden Retriever, Paisley and a blue point Ragdoll, Angel. They definitely complete our family and bring us a lot of joy!

Random Facts:
I was born in Provo, Utah and raised in Colorado with my two younger brothers. When I was 12, my family and I moved to Oklahoma, where I graduated high school and attended college at Northeastern State University. It was there, that I met my husband on a blind date in 1997. We married in May 2000 and made our first home in NW Arkansas. In 2004, we moved to North Dallas, where our two children were born. In 2012, God laid it on our hearts to move to Central Arkansas to be closer to family. In August of 2016, we moved back to NW Arkansas to build and settle permanently.
When I’m not busy with my family, I enjoy interior design, painting and repurposing furniture. This usually requires a little creativity and a whole lot of paint. Whether it’s a room or a piece of furniture, painting is so soothing to me… I just get lost in the details. In 2008, after our 2nd child was born, my husband saw my passion for it and officially handed over the paintbrush…I’ve loved it ever since! Thank you for taking the time to get to know me and for following our journey!
